Dr. Anjum Awan, is primarily a ‘Doctor of Medicine’ having served as Registrar, Lecturer and Consultant Pediatrician in the Department of Health & Medical Education. Besides, he has made remarkable contributions in the field of literature, particularly in his mother tongue, Gojri. Lately, kindled by the passion for Islamic Studies, he did M.A. and Ph. D. in Islamic Studies and joined Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri as Assistant Professor. One of the brilliant minds of the Pir Panjal region, he has, in a short span of time, firmly established himself as a dedicated teacher and learned scholar having created a niche for himself in the intellectual circles of the varsity. Dr. Anjum is presently Chair Professor in Tribal Studies (Since 5/2023) and Director, Centre for Research in Gojri, Pahari & Kashmiri, at BGSBU Rajouri (J&K)
